How to Create a Calendar Event

Navigate to the Calendar page.
Select a Date/Time slot on the calendar to open the Add Event form.
Choose the Event Type: Showing, Inspection, Maintenance, Lease Signing, Move In, Move Out, Meeting, Rent Due, Lease Start, or Lease End.
In the Title field, enter a title for the event.

⚠️ Heads up: Title is required and must not exceed 200 characters.
Choose the Property for the event.

⚠️ Heads up: The property must belong to your portfolio. The system prevents double-booking the same property at overlapping times.
Set the Start Time and End Time for the event.

⚠️ Heads up: End time must be after start time. The form rejects invalid time ranges.
Choose the Duration: 30 min, 1 hr, 2 hr, 3 hr, or All day.
In the Add Attendees section, search for existing tenants or owners, or enter a guest name, email, and phone.

Schedule a Tour from a Lead (Alternative Path)

Navigate to Leads.
Open a lead and select Schedule Tour. [SCREENSHOT NEEDED HERE]
Set the Start Time * for the tour. End time auto-sets to 1 hour later.

⚠️ Heads up: Start time is required. The end time must be after the start time.
Select Submit to schedule the tour. The lead is notified and the event appears on the calendar.

What to expect

The event appears on the calendar with confirmed status. Attendees receive email notifications. For showing events, Celery tasks queue confirmation emails. The organiser sees the event in the calendar grid.
